Rocker for Ideal Homes Exhibition
When award winning young
designer Eddie Jackson LLoyd Dyke looked as though he
would be unable to finish his prototype after being
called away to India just two weeks before the
publicity deadline for the Daily Mail Ideal
Home Show, he turned to Prototype Parts Ltd to help.
Eddie's Baby "Pod Rocker" designed
to comfort babies from birth to 6 months
has been awarded a spot in the show's centenary display
where young up and coming designers ideas for the future
are being showcased.
Our modelmakers assisted by taking
Eddie's rough styrofoam shape, smoothing the surfaces
and
reshaping where necessary before applying a GRP surface.
The completed model was then spray painted with a fleck
finish to replicate the final eco friendly bio-degradable
resin
/ bamboo production material.
The prototype was turned round
in 4 working days ready for publicity photographs to
be taken for the exhibition
The "Pod Rocker" was
featured in the Mail on Sunday (9th March) and can be
seen at the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition at
Earls Court 14th March - 6th April 2008
